About Jordan Weeks
Jordan Weeks was born in Cornwall (United Kingdom) in 1983, and grew up in a small seaside town, renowned for its pristine sandy beaches and tourism.
Jordan’s love for creativity, began at a young age, where he would often spend hour after hour, working on pencil drawings – where his attention to detail, was already beginning to establish itself.
Roll the clocks forward several years, and Jordan’s flair for the arts had moved into a more modern era, which lead to his enrollment onto a Photography and Creative Media A’Level.
After a lot of trial and error with photo subjects, Jordan struggled to find exactly what it was that he wanted to photograph. Experimenting with Musician Photography, Fashion Portraits and even Weddings. He was about to turn his back on photography, until one day, just by chance, he ended up at the beach during one of the biggest and best surfing days of the year – A new chapter in his photography career was about to begin.
From the age of 18, Jordan began studying towards his degree in Photography, whilst also photographing the surf at his local beach at every given opportunity. It didn’t take long for the magazines to publish his images. Within months, interest in his work was growing fast, and he was snapped up by what was one of Europe’s leading surf travel companies at the time. This enabled Jordan to take his camera, and keen eye for the sport to warmer climates. Traveling to Morocco, Spain, The Canary Islands and France, all in a matter of months.
From here, Jordan became interested in photographing other types of outdoor sports and activities – Learning to predict the best moment, and most rewarding angles to photograph sports such as triathlons, cycling, and running.
Being around sports enthusiast and athletes so often, left its mark with Jordan in more ways than one. Not only was he capturing images of these sports, and selling them to magazines and publishing companies across Europe – He was becoming a bit of a sports enthusiast himself.
With several years of photographing professionally already under his belt, Jordan graduated with a degree in Photography, and set out to start his own photography business.
Arriving back at the present day – Jordan’s photography business has been expanding ever since he finished university. He has created photographic work for various companies and individuals across Europe, and is available to hire for Commercial, Advertising or Editorial photography assignments. Jordan has also built a large database of professional stock photography, and runs an online print shop, which sells his landscape and travel photography, in printed formats, to customers right across the United Kingdom.
As well as being a full time professional photographer, Jordan is also a keen road cyclist, who loves the challenge of riding some of the most grueling cycle routes in the world – from the magnificent, awe inspiring French Alps, to the leg burning gradients and switch backs of the Pyrenees.

In September, I posted an article on my website titled Surfer Portrait Photographs, which included a series of professional surfer portrait photographs, which were taken in Cornwall. Recently, I was asked by Professional Illustrator, Mark Mayers, if he could use one of these photographs for his latest Premium Tutorial on the PSDtuts+ website. Having seen [...]

I often get asked about my Sports Photography. How a particular shot was captured, where it was taken, or what camera or lens it was shot with. I also get asked, why I’m a Sports Photographer, what drives me, and what inspires me. These are amongst my favorite questions of all. I am a Professional [...]

It’s funny how things can work out… The plan this morning was to head off early and capture some surf photos at one of my local surf spots. However, upon arriving, the swell wasn’t as I had hoped. So… a few phone calls later, I had arranged a ‘Backup photo shoot’ with Tom Lowe and [...]
